We recently released the new industry leading Velox platform for hearing aids, with its unique wireless capabilities to connect to smartphones and other accessory devices, based on our own 2.4GHz Bluetooth Smart solution. We are now looking for a colleague who can support us in developing our next generation Bluetooth Smart solution in order for our HI platform to grow its wireless capabilities and performance and be part of the exciting and rapidly growing “Internet of Things”.
You will join our Wireless team, which consist of 12 highly skilled IC developers with different competence from digital and analog IC design to protocol design to RF design. The Team are responsible for delivering the next generation 2.4GHz Bluetooth Smart solution from concept study to final IC.
Our Bluetooth smart solution consists of a full BLE RF radio and baseband, embedded in our ambitious and ultra-low power multi-processor SoC based on Network-on-Chip. You can look forward to being involved in all phases of the development and design from pre-study to evaluation of the final IC. Thus, you will be involved in analyzing concepts, defining requirements for digital components, design, documentation, verification with low level FW/SW and lab testing etc. The components you are going to develop are characterized by extremely low power consumption and high inerrability, and they need to be easily produced in large volumes. To achieve this, we constantly push the technology to its limits and focus on smart design.
As our new Digital ASIC designer, you will be responsible for the following activities:
Designing new features/modules from concept phase, requirements etc. to final implementation.
Creating and maintaining verification setup for your components.
Evaluate its performance on final products or via FPGA systems
In order for you to succeed in this role, you need to have a good knowledge of ASIC and IC design flows in combination with a real passion for this field. You should find it motivating to be working within the split between the analogue and the digital HW domain and FW. You should be comfortable with writing the RTL and drive to test it.
Furthermore, you are familiar with the following:
General IC/FPGA design, HDL coding, preferably Verilog and Synthesis experience
Design in a SoC ASIC Design flow, preferably Synopsys
Verification at all levels e.g. RTL, formal, gate and in the lab
Programming and scripting languages e.g. java, python, tcl.
Knowledge within Wireless (2.4GHz) systems, microprocessor architecture and low power design techniques.
